How to edit, delete, and create relationships in ACCESS without using Relationships window? I mean, I don't want to drag and drop things. I just need to assign relationships like indexes. The problem is that tables got frozen at the screen, and some tables I simply cannot even locate despite the fact that I droped them onto the area.

Thank you

Two ways:

SQL: search Access help's Jet SQL reference topic for the Constraint clause, for example.

VBA: search Access VBA help for relation and you'll see loads of good stuff. If you like/know DAO there's an excellent CreateRelation method example.

mp9,

Sorry, I couldn't find anything that actually helped me edit relationships in ACCESS non-VBA window avoiding the Relationships window. I would prefer not to use VBA for now.

Could you please provide some consize working example if you know how to do this.

If you don't want to use VBA then you are going to have to use the JET SQL equivalent of DROP CONSTRAINT and/or ADD CONSTRAINT to the tables.

OK, Leslie

I understand it that we either have to use Relationships window or wright our own scripts to do this.

Thank you
