Sendmail 8.11.0-8
I'm working on upgrading sendmail and getting MailScanner+SpamAssassin to work. But in the meantime - anyone know how to configure sendmail to reject email based on subject line?

Please keep in mind I'm a very "green" sendmail admin.

Thanks!

Why don't you use your LDA to do this ? Sendmail & procmail work very well together. You can specify procmail as your mailer in the sendmail.mc and then drop recipies in each users home dir (.procmailrc) to filter based on subject.

I would suggest using Bogofilter or another Bayesian filtering program. It will be trained (by your own mail) to filter based on the entire email... headers, subject, content, everything. I've recently installed Bogofilter and it works great. It's very easy to install and train. And every user on your server can train it independently for their particular email, so if someone happens to want "get free viagara" emails, you don't create a generic rule just to block that for everyone. You send email through Bogofilter in procmail. Bogofilter only tags it with an X-header, so you can decide later to funnel that to a special folder or just delete it.
