Hi,

Client had bought a new computer with Vista Premium and now needs windows xp due to their customized application requirement.

I tried installing windows xp but after loading the setup screen and by selecting the Install option i get a blue screen that hard disk is not available.

I came to know that vista has a different set of bootloader, so i tried to delete the partition thru the vista installation dvd but doesn't help either.

Pls let me know what steps should be carried out to remove windows vista and reinstall the system with windows XP Pro

Thanks for all your inputs...

MJ

What type of hard drive are you facing IDE or SATA?

Is Vista still installed, have you imaged the drive for later use?
