I dont have any SECC 3.0 passwords (NGenDesign,NGenDist, NGenSys etc), I want to reinstall the server and client software to recover the passwords, But the manual tells me that I need to be logged in NT Windows as NGenSys. This is the only way, or Do I have to begin from zero (Format the Hard Disk and reinstall the NT Windows)

You can log on using windows administrator account and you can change Ngensys password, then you logout and login again using Ngensys account.

Keep in mind that if you change the Ngensys password, you will need to change the password in at least one service (maybe more), since one or more of the services logs in as that account. This is a gotcha that catches a lot of folks.

Thanks for the answer, I uninstalled the sysmposium server software using the administrator account, When I try to reinstall the software windows shows me this message:
"Setup requires windows NT 4.0 to runs press OK to exit install"

Before trying to reinstall I shut down all the services. I dont know If I'm missing somethig? Do I need to manually shut down some services? Do I need to reinstall software using Ngensys account?

You ARE using NT 4.0 server, correct? If not, that's the problem; it cannot run on 2000 or 2003 or NT 4.0 workstation. And did you uninstall both the server and the client software, and did you uninstall any peps and SUs before that?

Then, make sure that the ngensys, ngendist, and ngendesign accounts are NOT already there, otherwise install will fail.

Honestly, with that older version of Express, the best thing probably is reformat and reinstall NT. And make sure that NT is on the D: partition (check all this before you reformat). And with it needing to be on NT 4.0, both unsupported O/S and application software, you might want to consider going to the current version.
