I am not too familiar with NT and was wondering if reinstalling NT reformats the harddrive. The reason is I am getting a stop error c000021a {fatal system error} The windows Logon process system process terminated unexpectedly with status 0x00000080 (0x00000000, 0x00000000)
The person does not have a ERD.

NT gives you the option to format the hard drive during the install

I take it you've tried the repair options on the NT CD-ROM...

Yes I did try the repair option and that is how I ended up in this predictiment. If I reinstall that should do the trick hopefully.

Before you reformat try doing a a reintall but select UPGRADE... sometimes that fixes things without having to reinstall some applications.
