Hi all again

I am having problems with my SSL certs and also some other problems with Backup Exec which crash the server.

What I am looking to do is reinstall the server and GroupWise as i am sure it will be easier and quicker than trying to resolve SSL issues but I have the following question.

When I have installed the server and come to the GW install the directories and all the mail already exists on the Data partition. If I install GW normally how do I tell it that all the directories are already there and to use them?

Regards

You don't need to reinstall your entire system to fix a silly little issue like SSL certs..

There are people out there <wink> that deal with this type of stuff all the time and can get you up and going in no time flat.

What you are trying to do -- you are going to totally destroy your existing mail databases.

Fixing mode
Rename and create mode

Step 1 succeeded.

Step 2 Verifying the SAS Service Object
SAS Service object 'SAS Service - BARNEY2.Home' is backlinked to server 'BARNEY2.Home'.
Step 2 succeeded.

Step 3 Verifying the links to the KMOs
Reading the links for SAS Service object 'SAS Service - BARNEY2.Home'.
--> No KMOs are linked to Service object 'SAS Service - BARNEY2.Home'.
Step 3 succeeded.

Step 4 Verifying the KMOs

Pausing for 5 seconds because of error -1418
ERROR -1418 creating SSL CertificateIP.
--> Number of Server DNS names for the IP address 192.168.2.2 = 1
--> The server's default DNS name is:
Barney2.christopherjhall.com
PROBLEM: A SSL CertificateDNS does not exist
FIXING: Creating SSL CertificateDNS (Barney2.christopherjhall.com)
Pausing for 5 seconds because of error -1418
ERROR -1418 creating SSL CertificateDNS.
Step 6 failed -1418.

Note: Occasionally multiple problems will be solved with a single fix.

Fixable problems found: 2
Problems fixed: 0
Un-fixable problems found: 0

so i deleted both my Certs in C1 and tried pkidiag again and got the same result

so

which led me to the error -1418 which i read about in the following link

so i ran SDIDIAG and it returned no errors

NW6.5 SP4
GW 6.5 SP5

and thats as far as i have got well also thinking about reinstalling NW that is

hope there is enough info for now

Cheers
