I killed inetinfo in the Task Manager (a goof), and I think this managed to **** up Explorer (oh, it's a browser application, not an integral part of the OS,right...?).
I couldn't get System Restore to run, so I used the original XP disc (Dell) to reinstall/repair XP Pro.
Now in the middle of the repair/reinstall I get a popup message that says "This software X doesn't have a Windows Logo certification, etc." with a YES/NO box to cancel the reinstallation of the software.
Which would be no big deal except that there is no interactivity--I can neither say YES or NO with either mouse or keyboard, and the installation is stuck at that point. The same situation occurs with every restart.
Is there a way to bypass the reinstall process on reboot or otherwise handle this problem?
Thanks!
