Hi,

After receiving no support from Crystal regarding CE10 professional shipped with CR10 Adv Dev, except to pay £5000 for an annual support contract for CE10 I am looking at other ways in which to resolve my problem.

I would like to reinstall CE10, I believe my install to be corrupt. My CMS datasource is stored on an Oracle database on a seperate server. I want to be able to reinstall CE10 and still have stored my reports and instances. Currently I can not get the INPUT and OUTPUT services to start so can not import these into another version of Enterprise I have.

Option 1

Make a copy of the INPUT and OUTPUT folders on the server. Remove CE10, then reinstall CE10. Move the INPUT and OUTPUT folders back and then point the CMS to the existing datasource setup for the previous installation.

Does anybody know whether this would work?

Hi,
Assuming you have the original directory structures and contents for your 2 FRS server files( inout and output), then a reinstall with a connection to your existing CMS database should find them just fine, once you configure them to 'point' to the new locations..

This would be the much the same process as would be used to move the CE system to a new server or domain.
