Reindex system table indexes

How can I reindex the system table indexes?

My memory says you can't, but try dbcc indexdefrag

That won't work.
Don't think there is any good way to do this (some system tables aren't real tables anyway).

You could try sp_fixindex at your peril. It recreates the index. The dtaabase has to be in single user mode.

Are you using SAP - seems to be a common problem with that.
