Reimport Subreport

Under Options/New Reports there is the check box for "reimport subreport when opening reports" which I've alway left unchecked.

I use the same generic subreport for several of my reports, then change it in the main report for that specific report. If it gets reimported, it wipes out any formulas or record selections and reverts to the generic subreport that I started with.

When I check formatting of subreports, I notice that my main reports are now reimporting the genric subreport.

Does anyone know why that check box to reimport would change? If someone else opens the report has their setting options set to checked for reimport, could they override the report settings?

Thanks.

I have no idea about the check box. I had a similar problem, in Crystal 8.5, and found a work-round. I kept changing the name of the report so that it no longer made a connection.

Automatically re-importing after a change would be a blessing in some circumstances. Just not always, and I'd be interested if anyone has figured some better method to get it under control. Madawc Williams
