Reimage drive in 2003 network

I have experienced a problem with one of our machines running xp pro in a server 2003 network with active directory. We cannot get Quicken Enterprise to reinstall after a clean format. Not even Quicken help desk can solve our issue. What's wrong with taking Norton Ghost 10.0 to image a drive on the network that works to solve this issue? What will active directory do with this new drive that is an image?
