Can someone confirm that HKEY_CURRENT_USER is the only key under which you are guarenteed to have write access regardless of Windows version or the user's permission level.
I've spent the entire day Googling for information regarding registry write access across Windows versions and user levels and from what I can tell from the mish-mash of info I found, my above statement is correct, but I couldn't find one article that just came right out and plainly stated this so I have my doubts.
