Most software installations will add stuff into the registry. Applications like rdisk also affect it since they charge paged pool memory to the registry quota. By far the best way to increase it that I've found is to run a SID changing program. These seem to double the registry size. I always set the maximum registry size to 2.5 x current size to minimize potential problems.

Because we have some servers that have a registry of 135 MB, 'standard' is approximately 36 MB. we would like to know how the size of those registries increased and in what way we can decrease it.
