Hello, recently I am having problems with my registry. Every two times my pc is restarted a message saying that my registry has found an error and will restart to repair it. How can I know what is it exactly that is making this errors in my registry. What can I do? I am using windows 98!

Hi,
Maybe the answer is in this thread;

thread615-327544

but I can't swear to it because the original poster did not post back with an update. Also, the star given to one of the posters was not given by the original poster either.

Good luck.

Your registry has some corruption, any one of a thousand things could have caused it. Try booting to dos, or restart in dos mode. Type the command scanreg /restore. This will give you a list of automatically created registry backups. See if one of them has a time/date stamp from before the problem started. If so, select it, and restore that registry backup. If this fails, you can try a third party registry cleaner, I recommend this one:

I'd back Kento's suggestion in win98user's referenced thread - certainly most common cause of this when I used to have anything to do with win98!
