I know this might seem to defeat the object of tclkit somewhat, but is it possible to use the registry package in conjunction with tclkit, so that the finished product is a starkit or starpack which is capable of accessing and manipulating the windows registry?

I don't see any reason at all why you couldn't do that. In fact, I think it is a sensible approach to take. If you want to develop an application in Tcl for deployment on Windows, one of the big problems has always been figuring out how to get a full Tcl installation on the deployment systems. With TclKit's single-file runtime, you don't need to worry about including a full Tcl installer along with your Tcl-based application. - Ken Jones, President, ken@avia-training.com
