Registry handle in atipoll failed???

Running Win2k and using ATI Rage Pro graphics card.
After a motherboard problem was resolved now my son gets the following message on bootup: a box pops up and says "Failed to open registry handle in atipoll" with an OK button. When you click on the button (or not) everything seems to work just fine. No graphics problems at all. Any ideas?
