Hey people,

I need to add a registry key to a specific location say HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Quote\Dir (This will be static)
however I want the value to be where the user has choosen to install the application. Is this possible? If so can you explain to me how this works please.

Cheers in advance
Jamie

Please note that I am using WISE for windows installer 4.21

Figured it out my self the answer is as follows:

To find the directory that a file is stored in use the following syntax [#Filename] e.g. [#db.mdb]
this will write in the path that this file has been stored too.

Wise also has a internal variable called [INSTALLDIR] you can use that... check it out in the help, they have plenty of info

Thanks for that, that will come in handy
