I am using Topspeed 4.0 from SoftVelocity to access tps files. (Using Crystal XI) I had to get some help from Business Objects to get it working but everything is fine for Developer now. What I had to do was go into the registry at Business Objects/Suite11.0/Crystal Reports/Database and create a folder called querybuilder, create a folder beneath that called joinbuilder, and create a key called StarEqualJoinBuilder with the value set to the topspeed driver, cryptically called c4otrx (leave off the dll!) All of that had to be done because my reports would barf if there was a join in the query.

So, all that went hunky-dory. I have the Enterprise package installed on what I intend to be my reports server. I want to make sure the registry entries are correct. I do not have Designer installed on that machine. Therefore, I do not have the same registry entries available to edit. It stands to reason that my lovely reports would barf here if the proper queries are missing.

So, any advice? Thanks a bunch!

BOBJ tech support advises you to locally install Crystal Reports on each machine that hosts a ReportJob Server or PageServer service in BOE-XI.

It's the first thing they will ask you to do when trouble-shooting this kind of problem.
