i need to know how to disable right clicking on the mouse. I will be doing this on a nt 4.0 workstation. I'm pretty sure i have to do this in the registry (hkey_local_machine) , but what do i need to add/change?

I would really appreciate any help/advice you could give me

You can do this via a system policy, without touching the registry.

The box to check is labelled "Disable context menus in Explorer", and there is another one labelled "Disable context menus on Start Bar".

I hope this helps

the registry keys the policy editor sets is:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\NoTrayContextMenu=1

the value is a dword, and if set to "1" the right click no longer works on the task bar

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\NoViewContextMenu=1

this value is also a dword, and if set to "1" the right click no longer shows the menu on the desktop or Explorer's results pane.
