Registry backup takes 3 hours !!

ASO 6.61 on Win NT 4 Server - Backups up registry as part of it's backup job and takes over 3 hours to do it - size on disk is 16MB - size on tape is 317MB. Backup job also backs up another machine using NT Client Agent - Also takes same time to backup registry on remote machine.
This is obviously not right. Anyone ever seen this? [sig][/sig]

Try checking the event viewer on the machine running the NT client agent. Sometimes there can be all kinds of things happening that you are unaware of.

Compression may be a factor. Make sure you are not doing both software (ArcServe) and hardware (tape drive) compression. If both are in place, I've seen it make files larger. Monkeylizard
