Registrations Disappear - Sporadically

Every couple of weeks or more, my SQL Server Database Registrations disappear from my Enterprise Manager. While it takes only a couple of minutes to re-enter them it is a pain. Is there a way to bind registrations to my local PC so I don't have to re-enter registrations every couple of weeks? I am also curious if anyone knows why this happens? tia,
