Registration Window Keeps Popping Up

I just installed my legitimate copy of Illustrator CS2 on a new PC running Windows 7.

My problem is that the Illustrator CS2 registration window keeps popping up even after I registered a half a dozen times and then I clicked "do not register" with the same results.

What do I have to do to get rid of this annoying pop-up box?

I'm not that PC savvy, so if you have an answer, please reply with a step-by-step response? I would appreciate it and thanks!

...technically cs2 isn't supported on windows 7, as cs2 is much older software running on a new OS. Having said that it can still be run but issues may arise for which adobe won't support fixes to user issues...

...I have heard you can try running the program of cs2 in administrator mode to avoid the registration popup...

...to do that right click the application icon installed in the (x86) program folder. This folder holds 32bit apps installed of which cs2 should reside...

...on right click select properties and in the resulting window select run as administrator to see if that helps...

I am using Illustrator CS2 on a very limited bases and I don't care if all the bells and whistles work, but I did not know about the compatibility issues...Thanks

I am already running as administrator and I still have the registration screen popping up.

...does windows 7 have UAC feature like vista...

...try turning UAC off, then register when window appears in cs2, then turn UAC back on see if that helps...
