Sorry for this trivial question on this forum. I am investigating the possibility to connect to am MD110 LIM, in order to receive information of the originating call number (A-number) that are placing an emergency call (911 etc.). What interface types are offered on the LIM, providing this type of functionality (CIL/Serial Interface/IP??)?

Is there any need for spesial sw on the LIM?

I would also appreciate any information on how to configure the LIM to transmit this type of data on the available interface.

Any help on this subject is highly appreciated.

Regards

Hi,

You configure your LIM for CIL data... Record all using CLODI... This way you can see all internal & external calls ....
Initialize CIL on HDU...You don't need any special Hw or billing software... later import the CIL file on your PC using MDDT & see the call records...

Cheers,

Hi, and thanks for your respons to my question.

As I understand the MDDT is an FTP application, providing the functionality to periodically download call records. However, I need an instant/online messaging service that I can use to trigger my externally hosted software service whenever an emergency call is performed. Is there any means of redirecting/copying the call record logging instantly over the same IP-based interface as used by MDDT and Telnet.

Alternativeley, is there a possibility to write a dedicated daemon/server residing on the HDU in order to monitor the log file and communicate with an external software system?

Hi GM,

The CIL output can include parameter 'DIAL=911' then only numbers starting with 911 will be output. If you have the MD110 licence to output ‘CIL via Ethernet’ then you have the potential to communicate with an external software system.

Thanks - this seems to be exactly what I am looking for - a filtered CIL-output over an Ethernet interface. As I understand from your post, this functionality requires a special licensing option not included in "basic/typical" MD110 networked configurations? Is thic correct?

Hi,

Yes... SMDR-ETH-INTERFACE - FAL104489 Try an LIDAP; and see if you have a license.
