I have an IPO (9.0.100.845) with an Avaya B179 conference phone getting a Registration Fail message when booting up. I have removed and recreated the Extension and User profile and still getting the same error. Below is the sys mon capture

Did you set a password on the user > telephony > supervisor settings tab?

Also, play a little with the username and extn number in the B179 account settings.

Make sure you use a name without spaces. and make sure you set the name on the credentials in the B179. Because it seems like the B179 tries to register using the extn number. And you need to register using the name.

All verified. Should I set a static IP and reserve a license for the extension?

In the Settings - User - SIP tab
the User is the extension number and the Authentication name is the Name of the User (case sensitive)

Do you have a free AVAYA IP Endpoint license?
Did yo enable SIP Registrar on the used LAN in Manager?
Is the extension setup as a SIP device?
Tried to disable "Require Authentication" in the SIP Phone settings?
Any SIP device on IP Office authenticates with the users phonenumber as the authentication name and the logon code as the password.
Make sure you have the phone at the software version or newer as delivered with that version of IP Office.

If the above all is checked and correct I see no reason why it should not register, usually it is a easy install.
