Registor error

I'm a newbie and am using Redhat 7.1. I'm trying to register to Redhat Network so I can download packages for updates. I tried to run rhn_registor several times and it said 2 different errors. First several same errors said "Time Out" then last few errors said "Fatal Error recieving Welcome Message: Proxy Error."

So, I assume the redhat.com is slow today or has their own problems. What can I do to recieve latest packages. I have tried the internet and I can't find anything. I heard that you can registor for packages on the internet. Where can I find it?

Are you using a proxy to access the internet - rhn_register seems to think you are. If not do :





rhn_register --configure





and make sure items 1 & 2 are set to No. Then try again if you changed it...
