I am having a lot of trouble registering an IP 7000 to an Avya Ip Office v2. Can anyone help?

make sure you use a relatively new firmwar on the Polycom, then there are only a few settings that need to be done.
I actually only did it with IP6000 from Polycom but I guess the concept is the same
Firmware used for Polycom 3.1.3.0439 (note that the bootROM needs to be 4.1.0 or higher to take the firmware)
then went into the webaccess for the phone and added for outbound proxy and Server 1 teh IP office address port 5060 and UDP only
Expires 3600
Register 1
Retry timeout 0
Retry max counter 0
Line Seize timeout 30

under local settings I have port 5060

then in line 1 I added again teh IP office Ip address and then
address = User extension number
Auth User ID = User name (not full name)
password is the password for the user and it registered fine.

The kicker was the firmware upgrade when I did this because it came with old firmware and that one did not seem compatible.

Last time I had troubles installing one, the solution was to disable the "Force Authorisation" on the Extension.
