Hi, I am using a laptop which came with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.... and due to my frustration I thought ok, maybe I do need PROFESSIONAL (from the reading I found that supposedly the networking stuff was not available in HOME) so I did the Upgrade Anytime feature within Windows and paid 97.xx for a KEY... to unlock the features for Professional which were already on the system just dormant... go figure.

Ok, so here I stand... I was unable to view or search my database via my ASP pages on my localhost.... through much angst and sweat and tears..well no tears but I do have a big rubber mallet handy LOL... I am now able to use my web and its ASP pages to view and search my database all day long.. NO PROBLEM...

OOPS... WRONG! I can view, I can pull up files but I'm unable to update... when I choose to save my changes (using my asp forms) I get the following error:

==================================
An error occurred on the server when processing the URL. Please contact the system administrator.
If you are the system administrator please click here to find out more about this error.

I am not uber technical when it comes to this stuff and my ASP Pages were created by someone else, but I'm able to minimally fix them ...very minimally...

But this sounds like database registration issues to me. Under the WOW whatever folder.... in Windws 7, I am running the odbac32.exe file and added my database. At first I had teh ASP code showing in the search fields like the dB was not registered (I'm using Office 2007 and the database was created on Office 2003, it is an MDB file not an ACCB file)
but I'm able to search the db... I just can't update.

PLEAES be gentle what in the WORLD and I doing wrong NOW? There is no password on the DB so I'm not restricted in that regard.. please don't tell me I must have a password, please.. I know this will affect other things but I don't remember what... it was causing a problem back in teh day that is why there is no password now.

HELP!!!
Thanks in advance...
Laurie
