hi,
i am getting this error when i try registering a dll written in vc++.

the dll was loaded, but dllregisterserver entry point was not found.

dllregisterserver may not be exported, or a corrupt version of the dll may be in memory. Consider using PView to detect and remove it.

i have no clue what that means, any help?

I used to get this error when other dependent dll's (vcc 6, for example) were not present on the machine. The easiest way for me to track this down was to use the older version of regsvr32.dll, which provides better debug information. It would specify exactly what other dll was missing(sometimes several). I believe the "current" version is about 10k, while the "debug" version is around 30k and will be dated around 1999.

Whether or not this solves your immediate problem, it is always a good item for your toolkit because dev machines and real world machines often have different versions of critical dlls, even after service packs.
