I am trying to register several devices in optivity to stop the "unregistered device" alarms. But cannot find out how to achieve this as the manuals are no use at all.
I have entered the device details into the device.ini file
as follows.

[1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.108]
;Cisco Router 7206
Strings=router

There is a router entry in the optstrg.ini file.

Can anyone advise on this or point me to where I can find out more about this.

Was the device "discovered" by Optivity ?

No. It wasn't discovered. however I have resolved the problem. I was looking at the devices.ini file, when I needed the device file. I updated the unrecognised devices entries and assigned the symbol codes and there it was, no more unrecognised devices alarms

hello:
I'm trying to filter in fault view (ONMS) when an specific slot/port link down. I put:

AND
Slot/Port = S3P1

but they dont work well. The version ONMS is 10.1.3

Thanks!
