I'm trying to get 1XC 6.2.12.20SP12 registered on a laptop outside the company with authentication with Avaya CES.

What ports on the firewall need to be enabled to allow registration to the system?

I've already got 1719 to ACM (mapped to an external IP address) and 9443 to CES open and it authenticates but doesn't complete registration to CM.

Avaya has a port matrix document that explains what ports you need to open for IP Phones, please see attached.

You don't just need registration, but you also need to make sure that ports for signaling and media are open.

There are different ports if you are registering H.323 (1719/1720) vs SIP (5060/5061). But you don't just need the ports for registration, if you don't include the ports for media you'll get the phone registered but no audio. The UDP ports used for audio can range from 1024 - 65535, it all depends on what you defined on page 1 of the ip-network-region that these ip phones will register.

I use this for H.323 endpoints.

1719 and 1720 UDP/TDP

+ whatever you use for UDP audio. Check your IP network region for that.
