Hi,
I have 2 dimms of 256 MB ECC REGISTERED PC2100 memory and installed them on a P4B266 motherboard from Asus. The system is just won't boot. I tried unbuffered dimms and it works.
I tought that if I used registered memory on a board that doesn't support it, it would just run normally without taking advantage of the "registered". Why does this memory absolutly needs a compliant motherboard? Is there some motherboard that can support both unbuf and regged.?
Thanks
