Hi,

I've a host connected to my cx-700 through san.

This host was seen by the cx, but wanted to deregister it for testing.

and now ... I can not see it anymore anywhere in navisphere :(

Any ideas ?

Olivier

We can only assume you were testing the deregister process which removes the connection and the host.

So your testing worked *grin*

Or...what were you trying to test?

Just manually register the hba like when you're adding a new server.

jeje... stop and restart the navisphere agent in the host.

cheers.

hehe ;) ... stop and restart the navisphere agent in the host.

cheers.

Hi ;-)

Yeah, my test did work ... you can not re-register what you've unregistered !!

That's a great feature in fact. You MUST NOT move hba's from a machine to an other one, emc²'s decided that way, you must recognize and acknowledge that ;-)

I did stop, start the agent, reboot the server, unplug then replug the attachments, also made the rain dance around both the host and the frame :)

Any idea welcome, he he he

Olivier

that's weird, I deregistered HBAs and re-registered with no problem, even use the same HBA in another host just re-registering for the another host... hmmmm...

are your zonning configuration ok? if you login to the FC switch, does the HBA appear in the list of conencted (logged) WWN?
