In the process of migrating our Citrix servers from NT4/TSE/MF1.8 to W2K/XP1.0, we have experienced a problem that appears related to the regional options default settings. The only published application we run is JDEdwards OneWorldXE. This product has many reports that use a 2-digit year field. The default setting for the date format on a W2K server is a 4-digit year format. This is causing problems (in the eyes of the users) because they cannot see the entire year in the report's date field on the servers that have been migrated. Had this been realized when the servers were migrated, the setting would have been changed before any users were allowed to connect. However, it was not found until the users began to complain. How to fix it now for all 400 users is the issue. Anybody got any ideas? Your thoughts are most appreciated. Thanks.

By the way, due to the requirements of this application, the server is W2K w/SP2 and MetaFrame is XP1.0 w/SP1, no feature releases allowed!!

PBurcin,

Since this setting is in the HKCU\Control Panel\International
You could make the change that you want for your logon and make sure it works.

Then export the whole folder for HKCU\Control Panel\International and save the .reg file to %systemroot%\system32
Create a batch file named international.bat and save it to
%systemroot%\Application Compatibility Scripts\logon.

If you don't have usrlogn2.cmd ( in %systemroot%\system32) create it (Notepad blank file) and save it to %systemroot%\system32.

Make sure the following line is in the usrlogn2.cmd file:
call "%systemroot%\application compatibility scripts\logon\international.bat

Make sure the following line is in the international.bat file.
regedit /s "%systemroot%\system32\international.bat"

This will update all you users HKCU\Control Panel\International and it will set the new date you are looking to accomplish.

Good Luck,
Steve
