Yesterday I got a virus (the VBS.Stages.A virus) that renamed my regedit.exe file and moved it to my Recycle Bin. Before I realized it I empty it thus getting rid of the file. Since then I've removed the virus but now need to know if the regedit.exe file can be restored or replaced without skrewing everything up. Can I simply copy the regedit.exe file from my other computer or will that change some of my registry data.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Adamcap.
As far as I know, you should be able to extract it from your Windows disc. Copying it from antother machine shouldn't be a problem either.
