bros,
i just wanna ask something, im installing backupexec 10, one server and client with open file. so when i get to install the server side, i was able to key in the OPEN FILE OPTION for the master server. However, im just wondering, if i use the push install for client, i dont seem to have options to key in the license for the client for the option and sa CAL, where is it? or its just a paper license number? can anybody help me ASAP.. thanks alot!

OFO license gets entered on the Media server.
Basically its a loose license. When you push the agent there will be three option - Windows Agent - Windows Agent with AOFO and DLO. So you basically can use AOFO on both machines.

oki.. understand that.. you can push and there were options, but licensing part of veritas is you are required to buy one for master and one for client, so i cant undertand, how where to input the OFO for both master and client? if i can push including the OFO to client without any input of licenses for the client OFO, then does it mean that in actual fact, i dont need to buy any client OFO?

All the license get installed on the media server...period.
Yes you can push AOFO out to a remote machine. The license on the media center turns on/off that function. So if there is no AOFO license on the media server..and AOFO is running on the remote you can use AOFO. It will not be selectable in the job setup. Again the licensing is loose in Backup Exec. You could have 1 aofo license and backup 1000 machines. Its just a matter of being legit.
