regarding installation problem of SGI Irix 5.3 from a CD-ROM

at startup when I go to system maintenance and then try to install Irix from the SCSI cdrom it says:

sc0,6,0:cmd = 0x28 Unexpected Info phase 46,state 49. resetting SCSI bus
Cannot load scs(0)cdrom(6)partition(8)sashARCS -- media not loaded

Could anyone please tell why this is so?
