Hi All,

I have a problem with my Windows 98 OS.when i am trying to open any of the iconfrom it it gives me error "Access denied".There was a virus in that pc (nimda)but now it is virus free..and i am still facing same problem..

Can anybody give me solution for this..

Had nimda myself and agree with above advice fully. The datafellows site (F-Secure) is especially useful. Symantec's free removal tool (fixnimda.com) worked well for me.

Also, to prevent further contamination take a look at Fixfiles_beta.zip from MOOSOFT.
as to access, excerpted from F-Secure Info

..Remove all shares from all local hard drives and renew these shares with correct access rights if needed. This needs to be done because the worm affects shares security. Especially the \\localhost\c$ share rights..

Remove "Guest" account and renew it with correct access rights and group placement ("guest" account should not be in "Administrator's" group)

MKB patch
Good Luck from fellow sufferer
