I occasionally need to end a process that has a system tray icon. The icon stays in the system tray after the task is killed until the mouse is rolled over it.

Is there a WMI command to "refresh" the sys tray or desktop to get rid of these ghosted icons?

Thanks.

Thanks,
Andrew

The only thing I could find close to this was an AutoIT script that basically moved the mouse to the sys tray location to get rid of any orphaned icons.
