refreshing iframe outer window

I have a form with an embedded iframe

eg

<form id=&quot;myForm&quot; runat=&quot;server&quot;>

<iframe id=&quot;myIframe&quot; runat=&quot;server&quot;></iframe>
<form>

Whe the iframe is populated with an file with a link. the link needs to
reload the myForm Url.
. In javascript I've tried
I've tried document.parent.reload(...);

& document.myForm.reload(...);

& document.myForm.href=&quot;...&quot;;

but can't seem to get the outer form to reload
