refreshing block

I got 2 data blocks in a single canvas. There's a trigger before update on the first which inserts a row in the second. How to make this insertion immediately visible ? DML return value does not work.

Is it a master-detail relationship? Why not re-query the second block?

Of course, because detail block stays unchanged, so Forms know nothing about the need to refresh it. Why don't you create a new record in detail block instead? Issuing DML commands makes Forms confused about current transaction state and in general is not welcomed in Forms.
