We have developed 5 simple reports, that are run for 17 offices, each within 15 business areas. thus, we have approx 1000 report objects on the desktop. What is the best way to refresh all these report objects. We have written an application that will schedule all these reports using the SDK and are considering using this to refresh the reports. I am interested in knowing whether anyone has encountered problems (eg stability of the APS etc) using the SDK to refresh reports.

This is the correct approach - develop a "mass schedule" application with the SI SDK.

There are several Crystal partner companies who have developed commercial versions of such a tool. Check out the partner links on the Crystal web site for more information.

What happens if we use the Info Configuration Manager to move the file store? The Update Database wizard says that the database will be updated and the help on this topic says that the APS will need to be restarted. Does this mean that if we were to tick the 'Input Directory' check box and then select the 'Just update the Database...' option, we would effectively force the APS to refresh the entire desktop?

Thanks

Michael
