Refreshing a table

I have an application where one of the three joined tables is sales data. This data would come via ODBC from an AS400. I know how to do this in Excel, but have been unable to find corresponding functionality in Access. Any help is greatly appreciated.

No, But it sounds like I need to investigate "Linking"

You can select File ->Get External Data->Link. Select ODBC in the type of file and then select your ODBC DSN. This should allow you to select a table or view from the AS400.

I should have also stated you can create a pass-through query which might be much more efficient than the linked tables.

Thanks Folks! I will be testing linked Tables today, and will also research "pass thru query" I've been around the IBM Midrange systems for over 15 years, but am a rookie at Access. Looks like a pretty powerful tool. Lots to learn...
