Refresh Rates on win2k - only 60hz?

Hi everybody!

I'm confused on why my SyncMaster 15GLE is only able to display on 60Hz under win2k. If I try any other resolution, the screen goes dark and I have to switch back.

I'm using detonator3 drivers here for my video card (asus v7700) and win2k lists my monitor correctly.

try getting HzTweak or PowerStrip from tweakfiles.com

I have also problems with refresh rate for Matrox G400,
using DOS programs in fullscreen DOS window under Win98.
The VBE Mode, here 011Bhex for 1280x1024, 32 bits per pixel,
is accepted, but the refresh rate remains too low.
