Refresh Interdev project

We keep getting this error when opening the project:
"An error occurred when reading the local state for the project 'Server/path'. The local state of files in this project has been lost. To rebuild the local state information, refresh the project."

But interdev hour glasses on us and won't allow us to do anything. Any ideas?
