I tried your suggestion and turned off "save data with report". Now when I open the report I'm presented with the design page for the report. I would like the report to automatically refresh upon opening. Might there be a way to doing this?
I can accept the fact that I will have to have the users manually refresh the report everytime they open it. But might there be a way to force the report to always prompt for new parameters without asking the user every time.
As IdoMillet said, Crystal Report is a design tool, not a user viewing tool. Either you obtain an additional viewing tool or you run the reports for the users and export the output in the appropriate format.
If the report is not saved with data then the user will not be asked if they want to use the existing parameters when the OPEN the report. There will be no existing parameters at that point. They WILL be asked if they want to use existing parameters if they try to refresh a second time after opening it.
