refrential integrity and delete

Hallo,
how does referential integrity affects the possibility to delete from the tables? I have many tables linked to each other and I run different sql statement in order to delete different records. But the records won't be deleted.
Do you have an idea about it?

Provided you don't use Cascade delete, the referential integrity prevents orphaned child records.
You have to delete all the child records before deleting the parent record.
If you have circular references then you can't delete ...
