Reformatting Hard Disk 1

My daughter computer is so slow, she needs to reformat her hard disk and reinstall all applications. However, she doesn't have a backup of the drivers and the computer company, CyberMax, is no longer in business. To further complicate matters, the MB Manfacturer, Biostar, no longer supports the M5ALA Motherboard.

Is there any way to back-up the drivers and Bios to permit reformatting of the Hard Disk and reinstallation of the software and hardware?
