Reformat Harddrive on Win XP Pro

I am currently using Win XP Pro on a PIII450 which came
originally with W98. I have never reformatted my harddrive since getting my PC in 1999. I am thinking of reformatting my harddrive and was hoping someone could direct me to a web site outlining the steps to follow.
