Reflash R6 onto new 9.1 SD Card?

We have a client that is running R6. The SD Card got fried (unusable). We ordered a new SD card, and did the dongle swap with Avaya so we can maintain the same licenses without having to upgrade. We tried to flash the new SD card on site with manager 8.08 R6 and the system would not recognize the SD card in the primary slot. Manager shows Dongle serial number as none.

Can we flash R6 onto a new R9.1 SD card?

Yes it should not be a problem to format and recreate the card in Manager R6

You must put it on the same release unless you ordered an upgrade license.
