referential integrety problem

In my application I have forms on which referential integrety is set on the tables applicable to the form. There seems to be a problem with my referential integrety when opening the forms in Windows XP (professional). I get this message: "Cannot open table (the parent table), link does not exist". The link does exist on the data module of the form. Funny enough, there are no problems opening these forms in Windows 98 or 95. I tried creating the tables from scratch again, thinking maybe the index is corrupt, but without success. HELP!!!

I'm not entirely sure, but try deleting and re-creating the the linking index, e.g. the one on the detail table.

It's *possible* that XP's write behind caching (which is enabled by default) has corrupted the index, which in turn affects the referential integrity.
